Boat & Jet Ski Licence Course
Get your Victorian marine licence for boat and jet ski (PWC) in one four-hour, classroom-based course.
About the course
It's a four-hour, classroom-based course — there is no on-water component. In the one session we cover both parts of the Victorian marine licence: the general marine (boat) licence and the jet ski (PWC) endorsement. You leave with a Certificate of Attainment to present to VicRoads.
What’s included
Boat & jet ski in one
Both parts of the Victorian marine licence — boat and jet ski (PWC) — covered in the one course.
Four-hour classroom course
A single, focused four-hour session in the classroom — there's no on-water training.
Small, guided classes
Small class sizes with experienced, fully qualified trainers.
Eligibility
You can sit the course up to a year before you’re eligible for the licence — but the licence itself is only issued once you reach the minimum age and present your certificate to VicRoads:
- Marine (boat) licence: you can sit the course from age 11 and present your certificate to VicRoads to get your licence once you turn 12.
- PWC (jet ski) endorsement: you can sit the course from age 15, but VicRoads can only issue the endorsement once you turn 16.
Your Certificate of Attainment is valid for 12 months. See our FAQ for more detail.
